Support a Family with Solar

We are running a campaign to serve 1,500 families in rural villages located off-grid in the districts of Jhudo, Mirpur, Khas, Golarchi, Thatta and Badin in the Sindh province of Pakistan and distribute Solar Home Systems. 

With your tax-deductible donation of just $200, you can provide a family in need with a Solar Home System and enable them to electrify and transform their lives:

• With access to light and solar power, individuals can feel safer and provide more security for their families.
• Without power and electricity, many women and girls are fearful to leave their homes after sunset, avoiding the use of the bathroom at night with the potential threat of sexual or gender based violence in villages.  
• Access to quality lighting sources and outdoor lighting means a reduced risk of robbery or encounter with wild animals such as snakes.  
• Families can cook safely using clean renewable energy sources rather than dung, wood, charcoal and/or kerosene lamps which can pose serious health risks, including respiratory and eye infections, indoor air pollution, among other issues and prevent house fires that kill people.  
• Students will be less likely to drop out of school and be able to get a fruitful education and study at night, empowering their lives and moving away from the cycle of poverty. 
• Small business will be able to run power to use sewing machines or iron clothing for example. Businesses will be able to offer services and generate an income and revenue through a Solar Home System.
